WHO AM I?

With over 30 years of experience in video production, I specialize in helping businesses grow by telling their story through powerful visual content. Whether it's a video business card, branded podcast, social media strategy, or a full-scale content creation plan, I bring the expertise to craft media that connects and converts.

In working for or freelancing with live production/video production companies, I’ve led teams through live event productions, working across audio, video, and web to ensure every show runs seamlessly. Prior to that, I spent three decades managing the Oak Park Schools Television Studio, where I oversaw daily operations, mentored students in video production, and collaborated with IT to implement district-wide technology upgrades.

Through Eric Vancil Media, I partner with businesses to create compelling video content tailored to their goals—whether launching a brand, building trust, or expanding reach. I also support churches and nonprofits in designing and implementing AV systems that enhance their message and mission.

A graduate of the Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts, I bring not only technical skill but a creative mindset to every project. I’m also a lifelong musician, podcaster, and AV technician, committed to delivering content that makes an impact.

Let’s bring your vision to life—through video that works.

In addition to my video production work, I’ve spent over 30 years as a bassist in numerous local bands throughout the Detroit area, performing at venues big and small. My love for music extends into media—helping artists and bands develop high-quality EPKs, music videos, showcase reels, and social media content that gets noticed.

I currently host three podcasts on YouTube and am passionate about continuing to support musicians and creatives through storytelling that resonates.
